With the onset of summer in Australia, those undertaking physical or outdoor work need ways to minimise the effects of heat stress.
The company's Brand Manager, Wayne Cann says the hands-free advantage plus the bite-and-sip valve (connected by tube to the container) are just two features which have propelled sales.
"With these packs, workers can re-hydrate while keeping their eyes on the job at hand," he said.
"There's no need to reach for bottles, undo caps and that sort of thing."
The Camelbak units are also sufficiently insulated to keep water or beverages cool for hours at a time and have tearaway harnesses to guard against accidents if the user is working close to moving machinery.
In addition, they have sternum straps for stability while on the move and can carry from two to three litres of fluid.
"Plus, our "Hi-Viz" versions, which come in orange or lime, can be a real boon where safety and visibility are issues on a site," said Cann.
