Avlite’s AV70 goes wireless

Avlite Systems have released their new wireless control for the AV70 solar airfield lights.

The AV70 solar-powered LED airfield light is one of the most popular products in the Avlite range, with many installations all over the world.

Utilising a sophisticated RF module in each light, the AV70 light can now be remotely controlled using a wireless handheld controller, enabling personnel to remotely activate and set specific characteristics of lights within their airfield via 128-bit encrypted RF data.

The system is designed to offer defence, airports, and aid agencies complete flexibility and advantages over traditional fixtures.

The major benefits of the AV70 include:
• Control airfield lights remotely via handheld radio controller;
• Shut down or turn on lights within seconds;
• Allocate lights into ‘light groups' and remotely control each group;
• Change light colours by selecting between internal LED light banks;
• Switch between infrared and visual light - perfect for defence applications;
• Set units to synchronised flashing, or flare path; and
• Encrypted data - ensures security of commands sent to lights.
