Extel has manufactured electronics for land, air and sea products including radar, encryption and weaponry. Extel's manufacturing capability includes: • Sophisticated planning systems (including ERP/MRP) • Automated surface mount PCB assembly • Vapour-phase soldering process guaranteeing maximum temperature exposure of components • Automated Optical Inspection to allow rigorous inspection of all component placements and solder joints • Laser-based selective soldering of through-hole components using closed-loop temperature monitoring on each joint to ensure minimal thermal stress on components • Cleaning of PCB assemblies using swept-frequency ultrasonic board cleaners • Partial or full procurement of parts service available.
