Australian Inhibitor wraps up with Ferro Foil
Australian Inhibitor, a niche research and development company supplying products to control corrosion, has developed a specialised vapour corrosion inhibitor (VCI) foil laminate which exceeds MIL SPEC and is in use with BAE and the RAAF.
Ferro Foil is a water-vapour-proof, greaseproof, flexible, heat-sealable barrier material made from oriented polypropylene.
The world-first product combines superior barrier properties with an active VCI to assist in corrosion prevention.
Ferro Foil is employed with the RAAF for storage of F11 and F18 aeroplane parts.
It has also been used by BAE to package Hamel 105mm field guns.
