With the help of the pneumatic coupling, users can build up hybrid connector systems that are not only capable of transmitting electrical signals, but that can also provide compressed air for a very wide range of processes.
In order to avoid a pressure drop in the supply line, a self-blocking coupling is available.
An M5 screw thread is used on the connection side so that it is possible to use commercially available plug nipples, threaded joints or quick couplings.
The most important data at a glance:
- Module with two compressed air couplings (5 units = 12 mm)
- Air consumption 90 l/min with a pressure drop of 1 bar
- Up to 12 bar operating pressure
- Up to 5,000 mating cycles
- Approx. 10-N actuating force per module with two couplings
- 100-bar burst pressure
New modules and contacts are routinely added to the ODU MAC LC modular connector system.
