Australian Inhibitor Pty Ltd, has been awarded two highly prestigious Australia Packaging Design Awards, being a gold award for packaging for industry and a silver award for innovation in the packaging industry at the recent Australian Packaging Design Awards 2011.
The awards recognise the importance of Australian Inhibitors unique Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) packaging system which combines tough BOPP (biaxially oriented polypylene) laminate film and foil with the inclusion of VCI actives incorporated into co extruded internal low density polyethylene film, to assist in the prevention of corrosion of metal products whilst in storage or being transhipped overseas.
This specialist material can be made into bags of any size extending from as small as 100mm x 100mm up to housing aeroplane parts, gun turrets and machinery of any size.
This innovative packaging system, known as Ferro Foil, has just been introduced onto the world market as a specialised packaging material which has been allocated NATO stock number 8135-66-158-8103, recognised worldwide.
