Dust collection bench from Donaldson

Donaldson Australasia has released a compact, ergonomic intermittent-duty collection bench for small parts grinding and finishing processes.

Downdraft bench Model DB-800 is a heavy-duty welded cabinet unit with direct drive fan.

The technology aims to expand the level of occupational health and safety during grinding, drilling, sanding, polishing, finishing and other general engineering and manufacturing applications.

The self-contained dust collector is designed to act as a workstation to capture contaminants from these tasks.

Model DB-800 has hinged side-wing panels that open to accommodate longer work pieces.

Built-in fluorescent lights illuminate the work area, and easy maintenance access is provided to the dust drawer.

The Downdraft Bench has been ergonomically designed for operator comfort while maintaining a 200ft/min minimum downward airflow to capture dust and fumes.

Standard features include: a heavy-duty, fully welded work surface; pre-wired fan controls; galvanised manual shaker bar; factory-installed, cotton sateen EZ Filter Pack with 10-year warranty; and a blue indoor industrial-grade textured-paint TEFC motor.

Equipment options include: a brass shaker bar; motor starter casters; Magnehelic gauge; scratch-resistant work surface; bag options on EZ Filter Pack; and polyester sateen.
