Allyanz is now offering the ZamLock Pro secure flash drive for rugged industrial and military applications.
The ZamLock Pro features a 10-key PIN pad and multiple density options up to 16GB.
Physical protection highlights include:
- a strengthened anodised aluminium shell filled with an epoxy potting, providing a damage-resistant barrier; and
- IP57 rating for dust resistance and waterproof for immersion up to one metre.
Data protection highlights include:
- authentication performed on drive, not computer, making the drive immune to keyboard loggers;
- PIN-pad protection making the drive impervious to computer/internet-based hacking attempts, since the drive is not mounted until the correct PIN is entered;
- full-disk encryption with on-the-fly 256-bit AES hardware encryption; and
- deltion of both the PIN and encryption key after 10 incorrect PIN attempts, requiring a reformat of the drive (the drive is then recoverable, the data is not).
Usability highlights include:
- platform independence allowing use with and across any operating system with no updates required;
- compatibility with any software application (third party port management software, virtual desktop, portable applications, etc); and
- dual-PIN capability (administrator and user).
